Series by series: why each one matters
Sri Lanka T20Is (Oct 9–13, 2026) — the changing of the guard
Three T20Is in Rawalpindi, but the real story is off the field: Sahibzada Farhan captains the T20I side (appointed October 5), and Babar Azam is omitted from the T20I squad entirely. Win or lose, this series answers the only question that matters — what does Pakistan's T20 future look like? Details: series page.
ODI tri-series (Oct 18–31, 2026) — World Cup auditions
Seven ODIs against England and Sri Lanka, final on October 31 in Lahore. With the 2027 World Cup a year away, this is where combinations get settled and pretenders get found out. Pakistan were runners-up in the last home tri-series (Feb 2025) — the home crowd will demand one better. Full coverage: schedule · points table.
Sri Lanka Tests (Nov 9–21, 2026) — the WTC lifeline
Two Tests that count toward the World Test Championship, and Pakistan need them badly — ninth and last in the standings as of October 2026. Home Tests are where WTC campaigns are saved or buried; there is no room for a draw-heavy, safety-first approach. Series page.
PSL 2027 (18 March – 2 May 2027) — the shop window
The 12th Pakistan Super League, expanded to eight teams, runs March 18 to May 2, 2027 (announced by PCB, October 2026). Beyond the spectacle, the PSL is Pakistan's talent pipeline — every season unearths two or three players who walk into the national side within a year. With a World Cup seven months later, this edition doubles as a national trial.
ICC Cricket World Cup 2027 (Oct–Nov 2027) — the destination
South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia host the 50-over World Cup. Everything above — the captaincy changes, the tri-series experiments, the WTC grind, the PSL auditions — is preparation for this. Pakistan's squad prediction is already taking shape.

There's a particular pleasure in a properly packed home season — October to November, a game every few days, the whole country arguing about selection. After years of exile-era cricket, a calendar like this still feels like a luxury. I don't take a single home series for granted anymore.

Why bookmark this
Schedules live on ten different sites, half of them outdated. This page is one calendar, updated monthly, with every series linking to its full schedule, squad and points-table pages. The one I'm circling is the Sri Lanka Tests in November — home Tests decide whether this WTC cycle is a rebuild or a write-off.
